Michael Judd Joins The New Earth Solar Team
In conjunction with Powur and in support of the Pachamama Alliance
The New Earth Solar Team is headed by Davis Pfund, a close friend and fellow environmentalist of Michael Judd. Together Michael & Davis are creating an opportunity to explore how solar can benefit you and the planet.
After exploring the environmental and economic benefits of alternative home energy, and helping his mom get setup with solar power about 7 years ago, Michael Judd has become a key member of the New Earth Solar Team (NEST), a group of visionaries that are changing the jaded approach to solar energy across the country with a wholesome, healthy and high-vibes understanding, attitude, and method of helping people explore options when it comes to harnessing the power of the sun to make electricity.
Michael partly joined NEST because of his close connection and friendship with founder Davis Pfund. Apart from founding NEST, having a permaculture design certification, and being a festival producer and trained classical jazz musician, Davis Pfund has worked with his family’s energy efficiency company Zerodraft Maryland for over 13 years, contracting with over 14 utilities, and working dozens of energy efficiency programs with incentives, rebates, etc. He earned a BPI Certification in Home Energy Efficiency Auditing and has helped hundreds of families reduce their electric bills and increase the efficiency of their homes across the country.
“Unlike a lot of the ‘solar bros’ out there, we are actually ‘solar pros’. We often recommend homeowners to increase their home’s energy efficiency first to reduce their energy, before we look at how much solar the home actually needs… which often actually results in the need for fewer solar panels, or batteries, etc.” Davis notes, “the average American uses about 25 times more energy per person than any other country in the world. And the costs are extraordinary… not to mention the inefficiencies of transporting and delivering that energy over long distances”.
For residential solar, in about 24 states where they are open, the NEST prefers to use the Powur platform. Powur is the world’s first decentralized platform for renewable energy technology. Think Amazon, but for renewable energy products and services…. That means more options, more competition, better pricing, and more transparency for all. Not to mention, Powur is a certified B-Corp or “Public Benefits Corporation”, donating 4% of their profits to the Pachamama Alliance, an organization that brings corporate executives and business professionals from the western world deep into the jungle to go on vision quests and healing ceremonies to help provide clarity, wisdom and courage. That’s how the vision for Powur was created, when the message was received by Jonathan Budd during a shamanic ceremony in the Amazon rainforest, to create the world’s first distributed energy network and empower the people by providing more energy options, independence and resiliency.
If you have considered going solar, or are just curious to learn more we encourage you to get a complimentary energy consultation and feasibility study with our team to see what options may be available for you, and if it would make sense, or not. It just makes sense to at least get a free proposal so you are more informed.
If it’s not the right time for you to join the solar revolution, that’s okay. We’re still building garden beds, food forests and straw bale houses 🙂 So, we invite you to join us as we explore, connect, learn, and grow into a deeper understanding of our personal energy consumption, building more energy security for our communities, and providing more safety for ourselves and our families.
Send Michael an email to set up a short discovery call with Davis.
